At AssureVision, we are a full service Private Optometric Practice. On staff we have an Illinois licensed Optometrist who is certified to prescribe drugs for diagnostic as well as therapeutic applications.
Our office is equipped with “State of Art” equipment; used for refraction, intraocular pressures, curvatures of the surface of the eye, internal health of the eye, and visual fields.
If no prescription is needed and the health of the eye is fine, the patients are bid a “Fond Farwell”. If a prescription is indicated, the patient is either fit for glasses and/or Contact Lenses.
In determining what Contact Lenses are best for the patient, proper measurements are made of the eye surface, and diagnostic lenses are used to determine the “Perfect Fit”.
This equipment is fundamental in determining the visual needs of a patient as well as early detection of cataracts, glaucoma, keratoconus, high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries, diabetes, increased cholesterol, tumors, and thyroid gland dysfunctions.
If glasses are prescribed, the patient is taken to our dispensary, where they are custom fitted for glasses, by our highly experienced opticians. Care is taken to fit the patient with the proper spectacles with respect to their prescription, facial features and visual needs. We are very proud of our wide range of frames from the very basic styles to the ultimate of designer frames.
Once the optician has taken all the necessary measurements, the information is fed into our computer, and specific materials are ordered. If the proper materials are in stock, the glasses are fabricated as the patient waits. If materials need to be special ordered, the patient is informed when it will arrive.
When the glasses or contacts arrive they go thru an extensive inspection, to insure the material is exactly as the Dr. and optician ordered. Once final inspection is passed the patient is called for delivery.
